
Ms. Nazario-Cardona understands the influence that education has on society, ignites motivation, and creates opportunities for change. With over 25 years of experience, a passionate education advocate has dedicated her professional life to making educational opportunities available to youths, immigrants, and adult learners.
In 2006 she joined the Ana G. Méndez University team as Campus Director of the South Florida Campus. The university provides the first accelerated dual language program for adults in the nation, allowing adults to complete a post-secondary education while strengthening their bilingual language skills. Since joining AGMU, she has expanded its advocacy for access to higher education. She was instrumental in implementing portions of the university’s expansion plan to reinforce its commitment to provide quality higher education to all U.S. Hispanics. In 2017, she became the Associate VP of Government Affairs and Community Relations for the institution, representing the President’s Office in Washington DC. She has been actively involved in the local community, promoting Hispanics’ social, educational opportunities, political and economic well-being.
Ms. Nazario has an extensive history of involvement with the Hispanic community. In 2019, she was named one of the 100 Most Influential People for the Hispanic community in the Washington Metropolitan area. In 2020, Ms. Nazario was recognized as one of the 100 Successful Women in Business at a global event-honoring women from around the world who have transformed their communities by becoming agents of change. However, her greatest satisfaction continues to be having the opportunity to influence others while providing them with the key to a better future through education.
